The AEC has announced that prepolling will begin in just over two weeks on 9 May!
The prepoll locations will be open starting on Monday, 9 May and run through Friday 20 May (with the polls closed on Sunday 15 May). This is your opportunity to speak with voters as they arrive at the polls and many are still undecided. We want to greet them with a cheery smile in a sea of teal!
The prepoll locations to be:
- Waverley Oval (Margaret Whitlam Centre at the top of Bondi Road, Bondi)
- Paddingron (St Matthias' Church,471-475 Oxford St, Paddington)
- Rose Bay (Studio 1, 1 Cross Street, Double Bay)
- Randwick (Randwick Town Hall, cnr Avoca & Frances Sts, Randwick)
Kings Cross (Rex Centre, 58A Macleay St, Potts Point)
Will I be on my own at pre-poll?
Not at all. We are planning on having 2 - 8 other volunteers at each poll shift. Allegra will be spending a large amount of her time at the polls.
How long are the booth shifts?
A booth shift is 2 1/2 hours. There are morning, midday, mid afternoon and late afternoon shifts starting at 8:15 and ending at 5:45. Waverley and Randwick have shifts that start at 7:45 and go as late as 8:00PM on the weekdays.
What are the dates?
It starts on Monday, 9 May and runs every day until 21 May. The polls are closed on Sunday May 15.
