Join Allegra Spender MP in conversation with Dr John Eden, Conjoint Associate Professor in the area of Reproductive Endocrinology and Dr Amanda Beech, Obstetric Medicine Physician & Endocrinologist to discuss:

  • the realities of menopause
  • latest advice on treatments
  • hormone replacement therapy and when to start
  • the role of testosterone in women's health
  • what perimenopause and menopause means for women's participation in the workforce

and more.

In partnership with the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, Allegra is pleased to hold this event to share information, answer taboo questions and discuss the frank realities of the impact of menopause and perimenopause on women's working, social and family lives. With public discussion beginning to evolve, and more explicit references made in the media and corporate world about a process that over 50% of Australians go through, the Senate has also launched an inquiry about the issues relating to menopause and perimenopause. They have closed their submission stage, as of March 2024.

This event is open to all, not just those who are expecting to, or currently experiencing menopause. We strongly encourage you to attend as a family member, colleague or friend of somebody experiencing perimenopause or menopause.
