Hi Allegra,

Being an effective local representative is very important to me. My team and I are continuing to work hard to respond to your feedback and requests, as well as working with local community groups, organisations and businesses.

In August it was great to:

  • Speak to more than 200 members of our community as part of the Wentworth Housing Forums. See the recording here.
  • Host leadership forums for Wentworth’s primary and senior schools, including students from 18 local schools.
  • Spend time with Wentworth businesses and community groups, including several innovative businesses that have received federal grants.
  • Be out and about in Wentworth for 3 Pop-up Politics events and talk to the community about the issues that are important to them. See future dates here.
  • Welcome new citizens to our local area at two Citizenship Ceremonies, and celebrate Wentworth’s winners at the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Read on for more community updates and to find out about upcoming events.

The Conservative Case for the Voice

On October 14, Australian citizens will be required to vote in the first referendum in 24 years. In recognition of this once in a generation opportunity, politicians, community groups, sporting codes and businesses are uniting regardless of their political, social and religious differences to support the YES vote.

Come along to an evening to hear the conservative case for the Voice, where we will deal with the difficult issues, and answer your questions.

I will be joined by Liberal MP for Berowra, Julian Leeser; Geoffrey Winters, a Gamilaroi man and former Liberal candidate; and Tony Nutt, Former Chief of Staff to John Howard.

It follows Tim Flannery’s search for the missing ingredient in our fight against climate change – leadership. Where are the leaders who will drive change?
