Over the last 18 months, Allegra has conducted roundtables with experts and stakeholders on tax reform, has sought community feedback, and has been grateful to receive the engagement of more than 1,300 community members on this topic. Their input has been vital to this Green Paper.

John Daley is one of Australia’s leading public policy thinkers. He was the founding Chief Executive of the Grattan Institute from 2009 to 2020, personally authoring over 20 leading reports on topics including institutional, economic, tax, budget and energy policy reform.
John is now an independent strategy consultant, Chair of the Australian National Academy of Music, and a Trustee of the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust.
Previously John was a partner at EY Port Jackson Partners, Group General Manager of Strategy at ANZ Bank, Managing Director of E*TRADE Australia, and also worked at McKinsey, the Melbourne University, Oxford University, and the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Michael Brennan is the CEO of the e61 Institute. He is an experience economic policy professional, having been a former Chair of the Australian Productivity Commission and Deputy Secretary of the Australian Treasury.
He has also worked as a Deputy Secretary in the Victorian Treasury, and as a consultant as well as an adviser to Federal and State Treasurers and Ministers for Finance.
