Join us to door knock residents in Wentworth to share information on how to get solar and more efficient home appliances, listen to the community's concerns and provide resources about how Allegra's office is here to help.
The second session of door knocking for 2024 will be run throughout June and July, focusing on helping constituents save on their energy bills and listen to what the community cares about.
We will be holding a Zoom training session on Tuesday 11th June to revise on door knocking basics, get briefed on Allegra's climate and other policy priorities and learn about the home electrification opportunities which will be talked through with residents. Training will also include a practice run of a door knock, so that all volunteers leave feeling prepared and ready to get out into the community. If you've attended door knocking training this year, you do not need to attend this revision session unless you'd like to. Details and the link to RSVP can be found here.
Door knocking is fun, easy and you will never do it alone!
Door knocking will be run on Fridays and weekends around the electorate. Volunteers will meet their door knocking leader at a café beforehand to receive materials, a last minute briefing and to ask any questions they may still have. Volunteers will then be placed into pairs to door knock around the local area for 1.5-2 hours, then will return to the original café to return materials and debrief with their leader.
If you have any questions, or are interested in being a door knocking leader, please contact Ella at [email protected].
